Types of Piercings
There are many kinds of piercings. The following list is the most common piercings and
the normal time it takes the piercings to heal. Of course, times can vary widely,
depending on the aftercare and the strength of the body.
Piercings
Navel
(6-9 months)
Usually pierced into the skin fold above the navel. It
is difficult to pierce and needs much care and a rather long time to heal
- Nose Wing (2-3 month)
- Nasal Septum (1-2 months)
- Ear (2-3 months)
- Tongue (3-6 months)
- Lips (2-3 months)
- Eyebrow (2-3 months)
- Breast Nipple (2-3 months)
Piercings for Women
- Inner Labia (1-2 months)
Are an additional stimulation, they are easy to pierce and heal fast.
- Outer Labia (1-2 months)
The outer labia can be pierced over the entire skin area and several rings can be fixed
- Hood (1-2 months)
Hood like Skin above the clit (Clithood)
- Clit (1-2 months)
it is pierced horizontal or vertically through the the middle of the clit and provides a
permanent stimulation. You should be aware that it might cause an
"over stimulation" and with that an increase of the threshold of sensation or
even a damage the nerve.
Piercings for Men
- Prince Albert (1-2 months)
A ring which is pierce through the urethra and the small band in front of the penis head.
- Frenum (2-3 months)
Below the band, between foreskin and penis head
- Hafada (2-3 months)
The Hafadaring is usually worn all over the scrotum. They are often pierced at the seam or
right or left from the penis root.
- Ampallang (3-6 months)
A piece of jewelry, which is pierced through the penis head. Its origin is Borneo. The
healing process can take long.
- Vorhaut (auch: Oetang) (2-3 months)
A ring which is pierced through the front foreskin.
