Japanese Bondage
Asymmetric Bondage
Asymmetrical bondage belongs to the fewer well-known techniques. That has surely something to do with the western characteristic to operate in tidy systematics.
The philosophy of the asymmetrical bondage techniques is based on the
thought that our body and its movement apparatus are symmetrically structured. Our two body halves are push-pull and if we
move we adjust our emphasis by appropriate, symmetrical reactions of our extremities. The asymmetrical
Bondage uses this circumstance and disturbs this uniformity of our body feeling, by disturbing the symmetry.
The tied person is forced to fully concentrate on the bondage and to adapt his perception to the circumstances.
The additional use of a blindfold can increase the effect enormously, since both orientation and the sense of balance are substantially limited.
 NOTE: Asymmetrical
Bondage manipulates the ability and possibility to hold the equilibrium. The active partner
MUST guarantee that the partner cannot fall. The passive one does not have any
chance to control the fall in any way and it can lead to bad violations and fractures.
For the following examples 2-4 short ropes (1-1,5m) are needed.
- Bind
the right wrist to the left ankle (and reverse). The consequence is the loss of the right/left
co-ordination, i.e. with each movement the bound partner has to re-coordinate
her/his extremities.
- Bind a rope around the waist of the partner and fix the end to the ankle, so that the bound person can not stretch his leg anymore.
After short time the feeling of
having legs of two differently lengths occurs.
- Another version is to tie one arm behind the back
and the other in front. One leg is fixed in extended position and the other in a
bend Position. The person feels completely helpless, unable to move
and unable to gain control over the body.
